I met Ernie Hudson at the Chiller Theatre show in New Jersey. After talking with him he pretty much confirmed that GB3 is not going anywhere even though he would love to do it. Mainly Bill Murray and the studio not willing to pay to have it made are the major problems , as we all know.

I have heard all kinds of rumors about something going on with Ghostbusters next year, but it could be just talk. The film induntry is doing very bad, and make the most money once the movie is put out on dvd sales. In my opinion it's not even worth going to the movies anymore cause within about 3 months or so after a movie is out, it comes out on dvd. I got to see an advance screening of Final Destination 3 last night, and someone made a comment that it will be on dvd before the summer. This proves my point.

One thing which I am proud to be a part of is a fan made Ghostbusters 3 film. www.gb3productions.com is a new fan film which is a story of what happens years after the Vigo battle. IT looks like for now, only fan films will keep the spirit of ghostbusters alive. ON March 14th they are releasing the Ghostbusters movies on dvd (again) and they are just the single films sold seperatly , not in a box set like before. The Real Ghostbusters cartoons coming out in a few weeks could be the start of more to come.

Hopefully Sony Columbia Pictures will open their eyes and see they have something wonderfull that is loved my many all over the world , and do more then just releasing the same two movies over and over on dvd just with new packaging and the same special features.

well what sony needs to do for gb2 is put the deleted scenes on the dvd. i'm tired of looking at the pics andscript i wanna see them on the dvd is that to much to ask for?

What exactly have you heard and from who?

The information here is a combination i heard from a friend out in California who works in the movie/tv industry, and from a film collector over seas in the united Kingdom.

The things I heard was that Ghostbusters 3 is on the borderline of being made, but keeps leaning towards the point of not being made. But there is many rumors of this film being made to come out next year, but nothing written in stone yet.

Dan Aykroyd keeps rewritting the script to fit a budget that would be good for Columbia Pictures . Two scripts have been made, one with and another without Bill Murray's character. All the cast (except Bill Murray) seem to want to do it from what i'm hearing, but no one from the cast has heard about a yes or no answer yet that its being made.

There are all kinds of rumors about who the new Ghostbusters will be like Will Smith , Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey . If the movie ever gets made (i'm not holding my breathe) I guess we will have to wait and see who the new GB"S will be. (*egon)

Well, it would be good with a sequel to GB II. Otherwise, the new villain would be Hades, and more new ghosts. Perhaps some new technology…ah..you just have to wait and see :-)

I'm not making up any of this!!!! :@ This is what I heard!!! :-@ If this information is inncorrect , then the people who told me it was inncorrect from the people they heard it from. I never said it was true or false, I just said it was rumors that others I trust heard and told me . If its true or not, only time will tell. I am a huge Ghostbuster fan like everyone else here, so why would I just waste my time ‘making up’ a load of BS just for the hell of it?!?! (o_O) Ever since the late 1990's, i've heard probly every rumor and story about the GB 3 movie, and these are the newest ones I heard. :@ Believe them or not, I don't care , but i DID NOT just make these up!!!

I think that this is a fabulous idea. The thought of the cartoon set coming to DVD give me chills , but is it true? And when exactly? Im not saying your wrong by any means. I would love to see them. I actually have the cartoon series on DvD. but I would most definately buy a more polished and complete set.

hi all. I as well as many others would love to see another GREAT Ghostbusters movie. But i stress the word great. I also dont wanna see a third movie that Sux and be pissed off for the rest of my life.

Im new here and this is only my second post, but is anyone with me in saying that a 3rd ghostbusters, bigger and better, would be incredibly hard to make. GB 1&2 were Comedy with elements of Sci fi. When they were made, ppl were easier to convince that Ghosts were swarming The world and it was funny. Now its not such a fresh idea any more. how can the GB3 “Movie” recapture the same supernatural paranoia as was created when the first and second came out and make us laugh uncontrolably? With Good Jokes and Amazing special effects. not likely There is much more something i don't think new actors could pull off.

Looks like you have some reading to do on the forums, there is the "Real Ghostbusters DVD Release - Official from TvShowsonDVD" topic. There are 3 volumes with a few eps on each, more so a ‘feeler’ to see it would warrant their interest in releasing the complete set.
