Though I liked this cartoons back in the 80s I was never a big fan… but I have my doubts about this remake.

Yeah, saw that last night when I was at work. I am holding my opinion until I actually see an episode or two of it but I gotta say that so far I do not like. They turned Snarf into a Pokemon (only able to say his name and nothing more).

Same here… I wasn´t a big Thundercats fan back in the 80s, but was a great cartoon… I will wait to seeing a couple of episodes before giving my opinion.

I never caught Thundercats (or Silverhawks for that matter) during their respective original run (as I was 1 when Thundercats started and 2 for Silverhawks) but the toylines for both persisted for many years in my area and have fond memories of them. I did however eventually catch reruns of both when I was old enough to understand what they were so I more or less consider myself a fan of the original .

That being said, I am not looking forward to the remake but like I said…I will wait and see.

Snarf to me was like Slimer, and as JMS always said, a little “Slimer” goes a long way. I didn't actually like Snarf to begin with, so I think that idea was aimed at people like myself. I see many things I like, tho I'm not a fan of this whole 2000's animation style as it really made Transformers unwatchable. But since it appears to be aimed at a older audience, it may be able to pull the style off. Good script writing is key anyways.

Also, I was a big fan of SilverHawks due to the art/animation it had. The shows plots at times made me cringe and the same for the whole (I'm in space but somehow there is gravity). But in the 80's it was the art that made a show interesting. Todays cartoons really have gotten so bad in the art department that all I can do is concern myself with story/plot. Sorry but cell animation was ten times better than flash or 3d animation.
