The Disruptor antennas, I see no reason why they wouldn't fit. I'm certain I remember something similar appearing in an RGB episode anyway, but I could be imagining it.

The force field and the thing that shrinks ghosts don't really make sense outside of being gameplay elements though.

We decided the Ethereal Shielding would be mentioned in passing…as in a prototype in development from Egon and never mention it ever again.

Jeff what is your take on the wireless traps? (I assume you noticed the lack of cord). Wireless technology existed in 91' but I don't know if was that advanced yet.

I didn't notice it right away but it's surprising to see that we are all okay with not having a pedal to step on. I can understand the possible difficulty in integrating that into the game play though.

The interesting part is that I had proposed a trap upgrade to Doom Patrol in which part of our customer service would be that after a PKE sweep and assessment of the threat level we would install wireless traps into parts of the clients home in areas of that have that highest PKE levels. The traps would have a set sensitivity and radius for when to open. When a entity has become captured we would be alerted by the client that the trap went off. This would enable us to tackle more manifestations and help out clients without having to physically be everywhere.
( Higher threat levels would not receive this service )

So when playing the game seeing the wireless part as well as the yellow sensor “beam” gave my idea more of a background.

I personally am planning on canonizing he new PKE Meters (just not as advanced and buggy as all get out) and the wireless traps (just making them a LOT less reliable than the ones in the game )

Well we already saw Wireless Traps in Legion, so I don't see Fritz having a problem with them, but I don't think they'll completely replace the originals, simply because sensors can't be as accurate as a human being.

They would probably work via an IR repeater rather then the 2.4ghz wireless connection that many wifi products work on today. But to be honest, both are prone to interference from other devices which would make the traps pretty unstable.

I can now finally contribute (well, maybe for about a week… but whatever…).

If the term “Muon Trap” is officially cannonized in the Omnibus Universe, I won't oppose it… but at the same time I'll probably stick to calling them “Ghost Traps”.

I have no objection to the Slime Blower attachment, although the Slime Tether might be harder to reconcile.

Boson Dart I'm happy with keeping.

And of course I'm more than happy with the idea of reconciling some of the more difficult-to-justify tech with being stuff “invented for the game”, same with some of the story elements (such as Gozer's supposed return).

As it happens Vincent had begun penning a story covering the events of the game, and I'm keen on writing some adaptations of the game's plot as well.

And Fritz, I think Shandor's return would work really nicely with the events of 1992 and onward.

The main plot of Shandor's return is pretty solid and gives us a lot to work with, and with the exception of Stay Puft doesn't actually severely contradict what we've written…
I also honestly feel that that wasn't the real Gozer… it just lacked the serious threat that Gozer posed (although there have been a few good explanations bandied about for this).
