We don't know, we don't exactly have a window that looks into the future.

It looks like it could happen, but there's plenty that could still derail a third film at this juncture.

I think they should just leave it alone, but that's my opinion. If they were going to make a 3rd. It should have been made a long time ago… Why now after 20 somthing years? I was 9 years old when GB2 was released. About to hit 30 here. I had a friend the other day back home ask me about GB3, if there would be one. And my response was “Pray with me that there won't be one” LOL :p

GB3 seems to be a movie that'll never take off or get made, it's always getting some sort of obstacle. Personally, I'm fine with the two films we have, and the video game being the third chapter.

I doubt it will ever be made, and since we got the video game it kinda makes up for it.

As much as i would love to see 3 take off its just not looking good, always an obstacle like someone above me said. Now with murray bitching and complaining before a script is even final makes it that much harder to pull off. They should have made the movie in y2k when the guys could have pulled it off , now ten years after that! Good luck with that. And my interest in seeing other GB's being hired and trained is slowly going away. I dont want them slapping the name on anything, id rather see the movies just go down in history then have the franchise be laughed at when the movie flops

I don't really understand Mr. Murray's big fucking issue with making the third movie. I talked to Dan Aykroyd during one of his vodka signings and he seemed genuinely excited about it, mentioning he couldn't believe how many people would show up to his vodka signings in ghostbusters shirts, costumes, etc.

From the last stuff I read everyone was on board but Bill Murray. Can't be the money, he stands to make a fortune off a third movie. I do agree with the above post though that I really don't want this movie to flop.

That's a really good way off putting it. Ten years ago I would've been overexcited to see GB3. But now, because I am so tired of the filmmakers going back and forth with this and the fact that some of the actors haven't aged well I am starting to believe the best thing to do would be to put this accident-prone project to sleep and instead try to get other GB-related things going. Like more video games, new Real Ghostbusters episodes or maybe a whole new Ghostbusters cartoon.
