I'm guessing no. I mean, I haven't seen too many toys based on comics

I was talking to toygeek about this very recently. As I understand it, there are currently no GB toys in production because there isn't a license available. If Sony/Columbia doesn't offer a license, nothing can be made.

I'm not sure of the legality of making toys based on the 88MPH character designs, but I think either Bill Murray or Dan Ayckroyd objects to action figures in his likeness, so there probably wouldn't be a movie figure line unless a prospective licensee can produce a test sculpt that the actor likes enough to agree.
88MPH is, as I understand, quite a small company, and so probably wouldn't be able to undertake production of figures themselves.

Feel free to correct me if I goofed. Especially toygeek

if the comic is a success, i'm sure toys or even a cartoon could be a definite possibility. remember… it's all about $$$.

Toys will hopefully exist one day, Mcfarlane wont make em, and I hope he doesnt (he is good, but hey, lets see someone else make em), plus he made alien vs predator not only out of demand, hes a fan of it,hes been after the rights for years, and i dont know if he likes Ghostbusters, thats all, have fun

“Palisades just stopped plans for streetfighter figs who knows they might get ghostbusters”

Ken Lilly of Palisades said they looked into it, but Sony is only licensing for the comics at this time.

Well…I wasn't going to get into specifics, I just wanted to keep people from getting their hopes up for something that wasn't going to happen. But as the guy who initially put Ken in touch with Red a few months back, I can say that what Kevin said is 100% correct. (hey Kevin, it's “grail” from MC) An action figure license for the new comic doesn't exist. At least not yet…who knows what the future may bring.

However…that doesn't mean there won't be some kind of “collectible”. Just no toys. I don't have any specific info that points to anything…just a gut feeling that there's still something BIG waiting to be announced.

I've heard that Todd McFarlane, himself, is actually a Ghostbusters Fan. :s :d

You just completely ignored what was said, didn't you? There is no action figure license available. At least not at the moment. And Ghostbusters toys from McFarlane would suck anyway.

According to a Palisades rep I talked to at the ‘con, he said the Todd the God isn’t doing any more movie figs, i.e.: no more Ash, Ghostface, Eddy Scissorhandds, and no mo Ahh-nuld after T3. He's more into sports figs: football, baseball, hockey, etc.

Todd the God has certainly slipped down a few notches in the past few years. The Mini-Ash in the AoD 2-pack can't even hold the fork! People, if we want to be heard, Palisades is the company to talk to. They have satisfied millions of peoples' wishes with the Muppet line, so when the “Toy Liscence” finally gets unearthed from the tomb that is SONY/Columbia-Tri-Star by the Indiana Jones that is 88mph Studios, Palisades Toys is the Museum that the Liscence should be sent to.
