If this re-boot of the GB franchise goes in the same direction as TRGB…..then it'll fall flat on it's ass.

As said before, Dan said he didn't mind having his Likeness used. In fact, he wanted it to be used. And there are several recent Action Figures with his Likeness. Like the Coneheads and Blues Brothers Action Figures.

What about playmates or hasbro, mattel too. I don't see why you guys are aiming for smaller companies like palisades. Palisades isn't a bad company, but becuase it's smaller it would probably have to cost a bit more to buy the ghostbusters figures, and they have a lot of defects on figures that just annoy me. I bought a micronauts figure with 2 left hands, I know I could return it or send it in to palisades to get fixed or replaced, but why have the extra bother of wasting more of my time when I could get it correct teh first time. Personally, I don't care for the sculpts they've done so far, and the figures are pretty flimsy. I would go with either Mattel or playmates (playmates does tmnt). It would own of the 4 hoursemen would do figures of the ghostbusters!!! (The fourhorsemen have sculpted all the new masters figures, and is now doing the new batman line that just came out from Mattel.) I would prefer Playmates toys NOT to do the GB, I mean I love the tmnt sculpts, but they're TOO caroony IMO.
I doubt a Ghostbusters line would surface wtihout the backing up of a cartoon, becuase that's the best commercial for toys, and yes I have read that the license is not yet available so don't go beatin me up mm'k?

BTW: I would guess Sony wants to see how the comic goes before engaging more with the Ghostbusters. It sounds stupid to base everything on a comic book, since everyone knows the market for those have died down, but I bet they're afraid if they release the ghostbusters and they flop due to over 80's exposure on the market (or other reasons) they would lose money and no one wants to do that. Everyone buy 3 copies of the new book 'kay? :d

Okay, the Horsemen may have the sculpting down, but what about playability? Sure, the new MotU stuff may LOOK bad-ass (did I just say that? >shudders

Okay, I don't know what's happening, maybe the site is crashing or something, but my full post isn't going thru. Basically I suggest that if we can't get Palisades, how about Toy Biz? In a kinda roundabout way, they'd be logical. If anyone ANOYNE wants to know what I said, just email me.

Sorry about the multiple posts, please don't suspend me.

All I know is, McFarlane Toys needs to unveil a GB line for their “Movie Maniacs” series.

What more would you need? (Except for a Gozer and Terror Dog figure for the line up.)

McFarlane would have nice figures, but you really wouldn't be able to do much with them besides look at them.

Very true, but after seeing the Alien Queen and the Matrix figures (and upcoming Terminator figs), you just know they'd look great on a display stand.

I think I'd sacrifice playability, but for a really detailed and excellent looking figure.
