Trigger Happy Mods?

It appears some of the mods just love to jump on topics and lock them. Could you guys, not do that? Some of the posts yes, but when someone asks something and someone gives them an answer doesn't mean no one else can comment.

Indeed.

That's not the only thing some mods are quick to do……

Yeah, there have been topics that I wasn't sure whether to lock or not, even thought I'm not new to it, it's a somewhat different kettle of fish to the NS board.

Depends on the subject, how the thread is going, and if their are other threads that are the same subject or similar. So we make a judgement call. And its not like once we close a thread, it can't be re-opened. And if I'm going to lock a thread, I try and state why if it isn't obvious.

Well here is an example.. (This is a totally made up example)

Someone posts:

Where can I find.. such and such.

Someone replies:

HERE Url..

Topic closed. Well why was it closed? Can't the person follow up? Are there possibly better places to find such and such? Possibly.

Threads don't have to be locked once someone has answered, allow others to post their opinions, and what they think. Maybe the original poster wanted to thank the other person… can't they do that? Don't lock threads.

(Locking threads where one can find other info is ok.. IE Why did GBN close down.)

Please go and unlock the posts in the forums that can still be contributed to. Specifically: http://board.ghostbusters.net/viewtopic.php?t=801 I want to know what was happening.. and want to know if others had problems.
