I'm a guaranteed attendee… Tron is a family favourite, and so far Legacy is pushing all the right buttons… given how much time has passed since the original, there's been enough to write a good story.

I am on the fence about Legacy. I loved the original Tron (and went ape shit when I found out it was going to be in KHII and spent ALOT of time there) but from everything I have been looking at for the movie…has got me a little worried.

The same things that worries me about the possibility of a Ghostbusters sequel; after so long will they be able to capture the spirit of the original ect.
The main thing that has me worried is the look of the computer world in Legacy. Though it cool looking and very nice, it is dark…bleak and depressing (from what I have seen)…and while large sections of the original world in Tron were like that…most of it was very vibrant…if not monotone in color lol.
Maybe it just boils down to the fear of it not living up to the original
And that was SO viral marketing. Interesting choice for viral marketing though as I have heard rumors of a Tron MMO after the movie comes out…as well as TV show…to run concurrent with each other

I don't know, I think it's rather fitting… considering that most early video games and computer programs had a black backdrop. The visuals (imo) have a sort of a 70's-80's tech feel to them, while at the same time looking advanced and futuristic.

@borzou99: It took me a two read overs of your post to get where you were going with that. God I need to sleep LOL.
Went to go see Tron Legacy Friday, and I got to say I was pleasantly surprised. While not the best movie I have seen, I can see that my worries were unfounded. My only real complaint is just how fugging creepy the de-aged Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner looked. Anyway, the true test for this movie will be in 28 years….
