trouble with email notifications

I'm having trouble accessing the links I get via email when someone responds to a thread I'm watching. It gives me a message saying the page doesn't exist, a bad link basically. Anyone else having similar trouble? Or could someone at least look into it.

I've had that problem too. I even had it with my activation link the day I made this account.

I figured out what the problem is, though. The system is adding parts to the address that shouldn't be there.

For instance, when I'm notified of a new PM, instead of
http://board.ghostbusters.net/privmsg.php?folder=inbox
I get
http://board.ghostbusters.net/home/chad/html/phpBB2/privmsg.php?folder=inbox

See, it adds “/home/chad/html/phpBB2” to the middle of the addy for no reason.

Same here, I wondered why it didn't work.

Is there a way to fix it aside from adjusting the addy in the browser? I mean, I'm used to it now but just wondering.

Hrm… I'll have to see what can be done about this.

Yup, I think the general consensus is that everyone is having the same problem. What I've done is set a link under “Hotlinks” in my browser, to my PM inbox. Once I recieve the email I just click and away I go.

It is a setting problem, I think because this is in a subdomain. But I believe it may just be a problem with the way the board is configured. Although, I do remember PMs trying to find the domain by itself… hrm.

I fixed it the day I came back. The path was wrong.
