OK, there has always been much debate whither or not the barrel of the proton gun twists or not in order to push out the tip. We've seen Ray step out of the elevator of the Sedgewick and simply push a button extending the tip. We also see a jerking motion that could be the latter half of a twist in the end of GB1 when they confront Gozer. Now, take a look at the preview pics of the pack from Planet Hollywood at GB Prop Archives. In the picture that shows the entire display, you can clearly see that the barrel is twisted up, the grip is facing up, and you can only see part of the buttons at the top. Also look closely at the close up of the gun, you can see a red wire that runs from the box of the gun, under the grip, and up the barrel. This can be one of two things; the wire that lights up the tip, or a small wire cable that physically is used in the extending of the tip. Just some thoughts. Also look closely and there's some other details to see.

The tip is extended by the green lever next to the trigger box. I know this for a fact. The handle is twisted, as this is a hero pack, and it has twistability. The wire that goes along the side of the handle goes to the red light and the tip near the end of the gun to supply power.

Hey no problem Ectoman, and thanks for the info. I always thought the green switch pushed it up, but I was never sure if the twisting had anything to do with it (such as the door lock mechanism I referred to a while back). I can't wait for your site to be up. If you have anymore pics of the Planet Hollywood prop I'd love to see them.
