For the last time, make the damn movie, let the fans see whatever the script is. Seriously.

Anyways, Bill is doing this to get Sony to pay more for his performance in the sequel. Don't let his talk of not doing it fool you.

I was reading the Tampa Tribute yesterday and there was an article about GB3. Supposedly Dan Aykroyd got so pissed at Bill Murray about whether GB3 will ever be made, Aykroyd called up Murray and told him to stop being a jerk.

Seems like a lot tension going on.

GB3 “a role of a lifetime” for Bill Murray, says Aykroyd:

The role of a lifetime has been written for Bill Murray. Contrary to what was in a lot of the press, I did not call him and tell him the ultimatum… ‘don’t be a jerk’. I was quoted as saying, ‘You better get on board.’ I would never ever talk to Billy like that.

If money is holding back Murray, then Sony needs to open up that checkbook and give Murray what he wants.

They shouldn't. There's a horrible culture these days of actors and actresses being overpaid, and the studios caving to those unreasonable demands. Bill really isn't in any position to be holding out if the pay doesn't meet his standards, but there's nothing suggesting he is being unreasonable about the pay…

Its certainly not a money issue, Bill doesn't want to agree to anything that might ruin the franchise, such as a really terrible script.

As it being a “nightmare”, which has been addressed so much, he was making a joke about being asked about GB3 everywhere he goes.

But i doubt he's worried about the pay, He's stated he's interested in doing it and misses working with Annie, Rick, and Dan. He's said he doesn't like the direction it's going, so he's waiting to see if the script has any redeeming qualities.

It was supposed to be passed out sometime this month, hopefully we'll hear something new about the “script”.

You know something, I was watching Ghostbusters II the other day, and you know I started thinking, what made this movie fail so bad……Then I thought “wait isn't Bill suppose to be the major star and comedian?” Anyways, Bill wasn't in my eyes pulling the weight in GB2 atleast based on what I saw. After thinking about it like that, should we really want Bill back?! Can't we just find a new class clown that still enjoys a laugh or two instead? I almost dare say Bill owes the fans for his lackluster performance in the second. It looked that Dan, Harold, Ernie, and Rick were holding up the parts they do pretty good. Heck Ernie was great in the second one. But Bill was the letdown.

eh, 50/50. Bill had some great parts.

“Destroy me! yeah! give it!… i worked with better, but not many…thank you.”

“You'd be living sweet life out in southern California's beautiful, San Fernando valley!”

I think it was just the material they were working with, alot of good stuff got cut out of GB2 (the slimer scenes, and the aftermath/ceremony ) . Its only 2 REAL flaws ( besides it following a formula to the first one ) was the script didn't leave much room for comedy, alot of the time the film was mostly just telling the story, that and its really short ending. I think it was Bill and the gang that saved it from being a bore. Dont' get me wrong, its still a great movie, but those are its 2 main and only flaws in my opinion.

So of course get Bill back, what would Ghostbusters be without Venky? he completes the comic-dynamic of the four actors. and no one else can pull it off but Bill. he's a comic genius.

Says it all, really.

I knew I'd read those comments before.

Where do you read this comment before?…

I talked with some people I know about Peter becoming a ghost in the new movie and some of them actually thought it was a good idea. I guess it might be cool if like Peter could find stuff out for them from other ghosts about what they need to do to save the world from some all powerful being. He could become the official ghost spy for the ghostbusters.
