Do you think that issues down the road we'll eventually see Vigo?

No, I would venture to think not.

The ‘GB timeline’, if you will, will be basically like this:

Ghostbusters I -> 88MPH's Comic -> RGB -> Ghostbusters II

I would like to see Vigo show up in the new comic. I think he made a good villain in GB2 and see no reason he shouldn't be brought back.

vigo was defeated so easily though, it was like dues ex machina at the end of gb2, at least in gb1 the crossing the streams thing was pretty damn dangerous, but the friggin auld lang syne, cmon, vigo sucks

He wouldn't really be “brought back” if they had him in the new comic, since it takes places before the events in Ghostbusters II.

If the boys were to battle him shortly after the events in the first movie, then five years later when he shows up trying to possess Oscar, they'd be like, “Oh yeah, this guy, we fought him back in the day.”

i really want to see VIGO, i loved him in GB2 and i thought he was better than Gozer.

If there was only two villains im gonna ask for its VIGO and Sam Hain. In fact i was gonna ask for Vigo in the other thread, about villains from RGB.

I doubt we'll see Vigo, ever. He appeared in GB2, as GB2 never happened in the new comic's universe then we won't be seeing him, there won't be any reason, if we ever hear of Vigo, it'll most likely be through a reference from the occult net, or Tobin's.

Actually, that reminds me, I do hope we hear and see Tobin's Spirit Guide.

I think it would be more fun to bring in new big ghosts so we are surprised again. I only hope that they will make a big climax like in ghostbusters 1. How more bigger and meaner the ghosts how more interested our hero's will be. It's all about getting the right and exiting story.

Happy ghostbusting,

I doubt we'll see Viggo, seeing as how they're throwing out the continuity past the original film and starting anew (meaning no “RGB” tie ins either.) So, Viggo fans will have to continue with their Carpathian Viggo Loss.
