I figured something like this was a matter of time after the success if the Red Box Kiosks…despite it operating a little differently

On the one hand, I hope this works out. Criminals can take their stolen crap there instead of to my store. On the other hand,

A. Maybe 1% of gamers want Wal-Mart credit for games.
2. Most game barcodes (especially older ones) never scan correctly.
D. it'll be harder to sell these used games without their original cases.

Really, if these things gave (or ever give) cash for games, they could put a serious dent in GameStop's used games racket, but this is gonna be a hard sell for the gaming market, methinks.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the first phase of a plan to put videogame rental machines identical in function the movie rental Red Box in stores.
