What A Find!

Not sure if this would go here or not since im not buying or selling but it has to do with Merchandise so I decided to post it here. Well here's my little story:

Being in a small town there are no antique shops or anything like that around this area so finding GB stuff anywhere else other than Ebay is almost impossible. So quite often I go to rummage or garage sales to for a rare chance of finding some GB stuff. Well after 5 months of rummaging and not finding anythin Saturday I had some luck. Well I went around and nothing was found and then me and my g/f hear of a big flea market in a city thats of decent size about an hour and 30 minutes awy. So we go there and find a few tents selling comics toys and records. I went to the record shop and searched for 20 minutes only to find out the guy had an record album of the original GB soundtrack but he had just sold it a few hours ago he said, Im not sure if it was released on record or not but I took his word. Then I went for to the comic book tent and searched for over 2 hours in boxes that held close to 200 comics a piece in them through over 20 boxes since he said they were unorganized, to no avail. I checked the rest of the toy stands and nothing.. Well when I got back home that night my mother who is visiting says she went rummaging in a nearby city, she wasnt gonna go to this one but decided at the last minute to go there she found an GB Firehouse in almost perfect condition! I had been wanting one for years but refused to pay Ebay prices. Excited she said she babbled on to the owner forever and she went in and asked her son if he would sell anything else from his collection and he brought out all in almost perfect shape an extreme GB Ecto car and18 Various figures 2 of which were the Ecto Glow figures and 2 series 1 figures! My Mom paid 5$ for the firehouse, 4$ for the Ecto, and got all the figures for free. All of the figures were open but you would never be able to tell they were so old, he had had them put on display in a case like a set so were in perfect shape and completely made my whole week. Just goes to show you what kind of stuff you can find at rummage sales, so keep your eyes open! Sorry this may not be a big deal to most, but to someone who searches extremely hard for all his GB stuff this was an extremely big deal to me, I played with my figures untill 6 AM that night, lol it was so nice finaly getting the Firehouse I remember playing with so much in my childhood. i just felt I had to tell someone my story.

Ahh that reminds me a little bit of something that happened to me a few years ago. We used to always go to this place called Callan, sorta like a flea market i suppose.

Anyway, I found like a GB magazine and the firehouse too. Being 12 at the time I'd never even heard of ebay so I was amazed such things even existed… They wanted €15 for the magazine and €50 for the firehouse (which was in pretty bad shape)

so naturally my dad told them where to stick their stuff.

I work in a comic/music/movie/cd store and my boss recently acquired about 20k comics… 10 of which were issues of the original “Real Ghostbusters” comics. Other than that, no neat finds recently.
