What audiences is this comic aimed at & will it appeal to youngsters by todays standards for heros? It will sure suck up the “reto-freak” crowds like ourselfs but what about the younger ones out there?

By the looks of it, it will mostly bring in the “retro-crowd”; we really cant tell untill we open the first comic.

Well, Mr. Clavet said that it would be aimed more towards more ‘mature’ audiences, but I'm sure it can't possibly be too bad for youngsters to read.

I would agree with all of them. As it more than likely will have cursing, smoking, drinking, etc.. I think maybe some young kids will know about it or call them heroes. Especially if it gets big and everyone remembers Ghostbusters again.

i really doubt we'll see the GBs curse any. i imagine the comic is aimed at more mature readers. i doubt the GBs will be as “heroic” like spider-man or superman, but i'm sure the kiddies will enjoy it. …little yuppie larvae…

Red said that the comic will be aimed at “mature audiences.” I'm not sure I'd want little kids reading this. Plus, that inhibit the chance for us to get some stories that were more sophisticated than RGB (now don't start accusing me of dissing RGB–you know I love it )

well, I take the drift that you want this comic to have a different style than RGB, but you still like RGB's style.

Style makes all the difference in the world or art & literature.

One can never tell how kids will react to any one thing, crazy freaks that they are. I avoid them as much as possible, so I wouldn't know. (And I'm still not sure what the ‘younger generation’ qualifies as. I'm willing to bet I count as the younger generation to some people, horror of horrors…)

Still, from the admittedly very fuzzy memories of my brother and me as children, the only criteria I can think of for a ‘good’ show would be that the heros were likeable, they saved the day, and they kicked some serious villian. Of course, these rules didn't always apply, (I remember a rather traumatizing episode of Captain Planet where the bad guys commited fraud, stole some photographic evidence, cut down an entire forest habitat with endangered species residing in it, and got away scott free while laughing in the heros' faces… jerks) but I think that about covers it.

Are the Ghostbusters likable? Sure they are! Funny, relatable, and just dysfunctional enough. Will they save the day? I would hope so, or they'd all die and the comic would end. Will they beat up villians in a rockin' manner? I suppose it depends on the writer; with any luck we'll get high quality villians like Samhien, the Boogieman, the Grundle, or whatever, along with high quality Ghostbuster action. ‘Cause let’s face it, when kids are growing up watching The Matrix amoung other things, you gotta have the action in spades.

Will we like it? We will if it's good, so I hope so! Will the “younger generation” like it if it's good? They better, the little snots.
