Yes, this title will never leave my collection. Never. Even if there is a sequel.

Agreed. I honestly hope they continue to support it with downloadable content.

I pretty much love the entire game, the atmosphere they have managed to create. When you run down a hallway and you hear the belts and buckles on your pack shake, you know exactly what game you're playing.

Terminal Reality has really done the franchise proud and I hope Activision is ashamed of themselves for abandoning such an amazing product.

I hope to GOD IN HEAVEN they do like Fallout 3 and have new expansions. I have bought all 3 for Fallout 3, haven't gotten through them but it adds so much to the game.

My favorite part was that I actually feel like a Ghostbuster working along side the OGBs. At times I found myself muttering “Goddammit Ray, get over here and help me up!”

There's a ton of things I loved about this game.

* The full voice cast of the four guys, plus more.
* The music.
* The references to the movies and animated series. Slimer!
* The incredibly well-written story.
* The generally solid overall voice acting. Dan pours his heart into playing Ray Stanz again. Ernie Hudson is solid too.
* Solid level design. Each level is diverse and interesting with a lot of stuff to see and do.
* Genuine laugh out loud moments.
* The HUD design. Not obvious onscreen, but still tells you everything you need to know.
* Interacting alongside the four guys makes you feel like you're part of the team. Who cares if “Rookie” doesn't have a name? It's easier for me to pretend I'm with them.
* The slime blower is addictive. I love sticking objects to the ceiling.

* The big one: Ghostbusting. You always expect the first encounter to be fun, exciting and new before slipping into routine. Many, many busts later, I am still getting excited to trap ghosts. You have to work to catch a ghost, and there's still a feeling of accomplishment after each one. PKE tracking is just as interesting and fun. I honestly haven't been this excited since I was 8 years old.

* I was surprised that the game has some genuinely scary and creepy parts. There have been a few parts that have made me jump, or really fill me with a sense of “oh crap” dread, especially building up to boss ghosts.

* Captures the feel of the movie. Holy crap, does it ever. I hope this becomes part of “canon”, because frankly, it deserves to be.

Overall, this game has been well worth the wait, and is wonderful. Easily my “Game of the Year” for this year.

I was stressed out after leaving Shandor Island and yelled “Shut up, Ray!” right when Egon did. I pulled a stomach muscle laughing after that.

I loved it. Every moment. I having been waiting for a decent GB game since I was a kid and this was a dream I never thought possible.
Pros
The graphics - extremely detailed and beautiful (in a horrorish type of way)
Acting - All around great acting from the guys. Ray still always exicited, Egon still just stating the facts and making some great jokes, Winston was really great and still trying to live with the other 3. Bill was good too although I didn't like how he spoke in a low voice. I think because he's done mostly dramas and less comedy that he's had trouble being comedy actor he was 10 years or so. Near the end of the game his performance improved. Supporting cast did a fantastic job too.
Gameplay - Bustin' makes me feel good. Need I say more?
Other - Firehouse extremely fun to walk around and slide down the pole.

Cons
Ecto 1 - no comment. Not only do they tease us in Central Park but also in the firehouse by having the drivers side door open.
Time - This is a common complaint. I think they were going for a movie feel but not having it go on for too long. I agree there could have been side missions between the main storyline. Best spot would be between Stay Puft and Library. But luckily replaying the levels are just as fun. I'm disappointed we didn't do the planned Thanksgiving Day parade / riding in Ecto level.
Venting - a tiresome problem but too big to ruin the game.

Overall this is what we've been waiting for.
Please, please make another game. I'm actually wanting another game more than a movie.

Also love all the easter eggs in the firehouse, the RGB PKE, the GB2 sign and the ecto 1 featurette. Kudos to all involved.

Ecto 1 featurette? What do you mean??

The ecto 1 featurette is found in the EXTRAS section of the game. I believe you unlock this after completing the game. I only looked for it after beating the game. They also have a compilation of all the videos featuring MOST of the voice talent, Harold, Dan, Ernie, William Atherton, Potts, etc. Good stuff.

I haven't watched GB on Blu Ray yet but I'm assuming the Ecto 1 featurette is the one we are getting on the Blu Ray disc, the whole refurbishment process.
