I enjoy the game. A lot. More than most games I've played of late. That's why my issues with the game are small.
Things that did bug me a little:
* I thought the lip-synching was off for a number of the CG cutscenes, and there was a “shine” in the eyes that didn't make them look as emotive, and more like action figures.
* I thought some of the movements in the cut-scenes (bother real-time and CG) has some stiff, jerky animation at times. They didn't look like they were walking, but more following a set path.
* Bill Murray either nailed the part perfectly, or seemed to be doing an impression of himself throughout the game.
All three of these issues went back and forth, though. Sometimes they looked/moved and sounded so perfectly with a lot of subtle nuances and animations. Other times, they moved like robots.
* I liked some of the CG scenes in the trailers better Peter's “Well, more overtime” looked better not so close up, his Illysia scene with “Why don't you go away” line was funnier when he dropped her, and I though Peck's possession/carry away scene was funnier in the trailer. These three changes were just funnier and more natural looking in the trailer.
* I've had to restart a section twice because the AI squad didn't follow me to activate the next checkpoint. They just stood there telling me to move on, but I couldn't unless they did as well. It hasn't been often, but I don't like to restart a game because I get trapped in a situation that there is no solution for.
* I kind of felt that the Meson Collider was worthless in comparison to the other three blasters. I've been trying to use it, but it doesn't seem as useful as the other guns due to its high overheating issue.
* Lack of Louis Tully, but nice save as to why he wasn't there.
* I was sorry not to have at least one arcade style Ecto-1 driving level. Sequel, guys. Put a driving/shooting game in the sequel. Oh, and MAKE a sequel.
But these are minor issues overall, and don't really hurt the game for me. I'd still give it a “9”. I'll post my “likes” in the like comment thread.
