What do you think, CGI or Live Action?

Ok, I had to think about this, but, to be honest, I love the Original four, but them doing a movie like this at their ages kinda makes me wonder…

Would this be better as a CGI film starring the guys as Voice-Actors, or as a Live-Action film with the guys as side roles/secondary roles and a new team?

I personally don't want to see a new team, I want the dream team in the grey uniforms! So, since those guys, love them to death, are so old, I kinda think it would be better if the movie was a CGI film. I mean, those things can look absolutely marvellous nowadays, just look at Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, or Resident Evil: Degeneration, or even stuff like Coraline. I wouldn't mind one bit if the movie was a CGI film.

What do you guys think? CGI or Live-Action?

I can go either way, CGI would seem cool, cuz its kinda like the video game, and so far everything for that looks great, so it would probably work. In that case though, I have an issue with calling it “Ghostbusters III”. I would just want it to be called something like “Ghostbusters: Hellbent” or something… just with a subtitle rather than a number.

Live action is definitely my preference to bring the trilogy full circle though. People really need to get over the “no new team aspect” though. Just like every business, in order for it to go on, there needs to be new recruits, and new blood brought in. If there are never new recruits, Ghostbusters, as a business, dies with these 4 men. Then the city, and the world, are back to not having these ghostbusting heroes around. Just like your favorite professional athlete who eventually has to retire, so will Egon, Ray, Peter, and Winston. Its life. If people want to truly lose themselves in the fantasy and cosmos of Ghostbusters and feel as though it could be actually happening, then they need to accept the fact that there will be new Ghostbusters one day, in that cosmos, or that Ghostbusters will not exist, as a company, anymore.

CGI films i am not a big fan of at all, TO ME, turtles sucked, and i love the original turtles as they and ghostbusters are my childhood films that i still watch today, but for me, CGI TMNT sucked real hard, but only to me, i would prefer 4 fresh ghostbusters with the original 4 mentoring them, see ghostbusters 3 with the effects and stuff they have these days, CAN be great, its just everything needs to be ghostbusters, now with the original 4 working on it, it would have the ghostbusters feel without doubt, they would blend the rookies into the mould, and imagin at the end of the film, the 4 rookies are battling a boss, and things arent going great, kinda like when they first saw stay puft, they thought they were screwed, imagin that, and then we have some heroic music and the rookies turn around and there are the 4 originals ready to BUST 1 MORE TIME, 1 FINAL TIME, and altogether they blast the boss blah blah blah, you see, it can work, with a new crew, just needs to have the MOMENTS which i am confident it can have,

Not all CGI was bad. Some of it was actually pretty good like the Final Fantasy VII movie which I believe were excellent CGI.

If done right CGI might work. Same as real life can be done wrong say Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.

It all depends on who is making it.

No, what if Jedi was CGI? what if BTTF III was CGI? what if Godfather 3 was CGI?

would ruin the continuity wouldnt it? Go with Live action, age is not an issue, its not like the guys are 80 and 70, their in their late 50s, aside from Ernie, whose pushing 64. they all look the same, just a bit out of shape. A trip to the gym and some hollywood make-up and they'll be fine.

so Live Action for me.

Maybe CGI would work for a tie-in film for the kiddies/fans.

but i certainly havent waited almost 15 years for an ‘animated’ movie, that would be a major let down. if they should make a sequel, they should make it authentic.

If it's CGI, they should look like they do in the PS3/360 versions of the game. Sort of like what they did with Beowulf.

“Godfather III” in CGI would be even less of an insult than that stinkburger ever was.

By the way, “Godfather” is my man Barack's favorite movie.

Geez, you guys don't have to be so defensive about it.

Like I said, only use CGI if it is done right….not some fake shit we know is trying to be real but can tell it is fake.

The original GB had fake effects but we knew they were fake and we used our imagination to fill in any of the blanks.
