Here's something I'd like to see in the comic…or rather, an idea.
It involves the timeline. I heard somewhere that the book will be set in present time, 2003. What I would like to see is that if this is so, move the founding of the business to near-present time. Or, set the book in the 80's. Or set it in Nebulous Time (TM). I know that'll drive some people up a wall, but think about it: if the Ghostbusters set up shop in 1983 or thereabouts, and at the time they were all in their mid-to-late 20's, possibly early 30's, that would put them in their 40's possibly 50's in the comics if the comics are present day.
I dunno about you, but I do know that not a lot of even the most physically active and healthy people can still go at a Ghostbuster's pace in their late 40's early 50's. I don't want to see comics about age related health problems–Winston complaining about his bones creaking, Peter having a mid-life crisis and dying his hair to get rid of a little gray, or Egon having angioplasty for all the Twinkies and Cheez-Its he's been eating the last 20 years. Not to mention diminished breathing from smoking! It just adds up to something either unbelievable or something realistic but having too much side-tracking for possible health problems
