What do you want in the comic?

Hm…itrigues me, but sets off my “possible storm” sense…

I see nothing wrong with using people/things from RGB. There's no need to re-establish things differently than the way they were before. That's unnecessary. And there's no need to forget RGB. There are many things from RGB that could be brought in. Ghosts, Monsters, People, etc.

How could a one issue cameo turn a whole book to crap?

Here's something I'd like to see in the comic…or rather, an idea.

It involves the timeline. I heard somewhere that the book will be set in present time, 2003. What I would like to see is that if this is so, move the founding of the business to near-present time. Or, set the book in the 80's. Or set it in Nebulous Time (TM). I know that'll drive some people up a wall, but think about it: if the Ghostbusters set up shop in 1983 or thereabouts, and at the time they were all in their mid-to-late 20's, possibly early 30's, that would put them in their 40's possibly 50's in the comics if the comics are present day.

I dunno about you, but I do know that not a lot of even the most physically active and healthy people can still go at a Ghostbuster's pace in their late 40's early 50's. I don't want to see comics about age related health problems–Winston complaining about his bones creaking, Peter having a mid-life crisis and dying his hair to get rid of a little gray, or Egon having angioplasty for all the Twinkies and Cheez-Its he's been eating the last 20 years. Not to mention diminished breathing from smoking! It just adds up to something either unbelievable or something realistic but having too much side-tracking for possible health problems

That's exactly what we're getting–a “reboot” of the whole Ghostbusters continuity, with the battle with Gozer happening in 2003 and carrying on from there. GB2 is a possible future that might (or might not) happen, and RGB is also not part of this continuity (Though most of us think that there's a lot of great stuff there that can be reimagined and “modernized” for the new comic)

Princess Artemis, for more information on what Fritz is talking about, take a look at The New Ghostbusters Timeline.

::phew!::

That's good to know. ::looks at “Topic review”:: Snuck in under the wire, there, Dr. Riddle

::looks at link:: ::snicker:: I'm older than Egon and Ray in this? Heee.

But Peter is only a year older than you (According to my thread in the Miscellaneous Forum.). GO FOR IT! :-) :p

::bops Dr. Riddle on the head::

But I said in the “marry a GB” thread that I'd pick Winston

(In Doc Fritz' timeline, Peter's only got three months on me

::snicker::

What I would like in the comic is like the first movie A big arrival with the ecto - 1, police and army. And off course a crowd of people who are yelling GHOSTBUSTERS. When I saw that scene in the movie for the first time I had the shivvers on my back. It was really great to see those guys come in like hero's.

;) Regards,

Robert
