answer is that ygo 5ds uses the real ghostbusters soundtrack on several episodes when monsters are summoned or attack the sound is the same as when the proton packs charge up and police sirens are the same klaxon as ecto-1

I was never a fan of Yugio, Pokemon, Digimon, etc.

I had a year or so phase I went through when Digimon first hit the shores where I was into it. I really liked the designs of some of the advanced creatures. Still do to a certain extent.

Never watched the show however.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that, but I thought it was just a coincidence.

Other TV shows & movies use GB sound effects all the time…

Watch Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, some proton-esque sounds are quite present during a couple scenes.

The proton pack sounds popup pretty frequently. It can also be heard in the opening of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV Series.

Well… in his defense, he never actually said he disliked Anime, just that he was never a fan of those few shows.

I got one!

The RGB proton pack charge-up SFX pop up in Inspector Gadget's Last Case, when the mechanic jump-starts the Gadgetmobile.

What the heck is yu-gi-oh? Sounds like something a cartoon character would yell when falling off a cliff.
