I know that there are certian conditions where it is to be carried out throughout the world but should it be eliminated?

Well, you know the old saying, “there are worse things than death.” Even in extreme cases, an eye for an eye isn't always the answer.

We should execute people who hate the U.S. Millitary.

I'd say….no on the elimination…they should have to suffer the same fate they've given their victims. That goes for rapists, molesters, and all the other convicts out there.

Good point, Twister. All sexual criminals should be butchered.

I think, if they are going to have it.. they should do it better. Currently there are people that spend years on death row.. waiting.. waiting.. waiting to die. I also think, if the death penality is going to be used they do as much as possible to prove the person not guilty.. just to make sure he wasn't.

A couple years on the green mile, true. waiting a long time to just die by the power of the state is just plain retarded! in the most Extreme cases (i mean serious sh*t) it'll be put into use. but dont you think suffering in a fithy prison for the rest of your life is a better punishment than the chair?
im gone.

I think in some cases its a good thing… Sometimes prisoners live better than normal citizens. For instance, we have thousands of Vietnam vetrans without homes, dieing on the streets. Yet we have people who have killed other, stole, ect. and they are being treated like kings in comparison to our vetrans, people who risked their lives for our country! But then again I could mmake the argument that sometimes their are mistakes with charging criminals…. But yet again, DNA testing is at a level now that we can get the right person most of the time, however that doesn't mean our law enforcement takes the time to do this….
