What would you like for the cover?

How about a slightly faded (not so much as the background of our ray pic, but more so than the regular logo) on a black background. And why would you think that people would think it's RGB? And even so, they'd probably be tempted to look at it rather than just walk on.

Here's my two cents:

The Silohettes of the guys, surrounded by white light with most of a visable GB logo

I think a black background with the No Ghost logo is good. But, the logo needs some touching up. It needs some texture. Then for the second edition, they could have all four on the cover. Oh man, Im getting shills thinking about it.

It would be easy to add blue lighting behind it. I don't think people will associate this with RGB guys and if they actualy remember RGB then they will look anyway.

i like the idea of jsut the no ghost logo with it sayin ‘Ghostbusters’ on the front. if it had the pic of the team on it then people would see it and some might think “oh these look weird and nothing like the GB's, i think its gay” and if they say that without reading it, then they dont buy it but thaTS just me

Wow, a topic people replied to I feel special!

Well, I think a black polybag with maybe some stickers, a fold-out poster, or an arm patch would be an AWESOME first issue! black polybag with extras…mmmmmm.

Well, can't say too much about what the cover should look like, aside from what's already been said. However, I do know what the promo poster (like packed with WiZARD! or sent to comic/bookstores to advertise new stuff, like “Kingdom Come”) should look like:

All-black background, faded close-up of the Ghost in the No-Ghost logo, with the words “They're Back.” Underneath that, in smaller text, “Open for Business Spring 2004, from 88 mph Studios.” And in larger text underneath that: “We're Ready to Believe You.”

'Course, that's just my opinion. Seeing something like that in my local comic shop or Waldenbooks would pique my interest, then give me chills, and I'd start to hyperventilate.

I strongly believe comic book covers need comic book art. Isn't it natural for every superhero team to be featured in full in their first issue?

A non-descript cover could even signify something other than comic book action; some sort of book - storybook or magazine, etc. Add to this they having it sealed…

And besides, “comic book drawn figures” are quite common in comic books.

Take a look at the wise RunDMC and picture the boys in front of a really big No-Ghost logo - as in the old concept art from where RunDMC took his likeness.
That's how I see it.

The Ghostbusters aren't superheroes. They're janitors. They even said so all the time on The Real Ghostbuters.

I didn't say they were.
