Nobody should be losing their temper at anyone, frankly, I've seen what goes on behind the scenes when a large company is hiring a small-time company to do something for them, and it's not pretty.
I was overseeing the technical work for a project my friend landed for Antarctic Press, some of the scenes that I thought were beautiful and were the best work he's done, AP didn't like them and wanted them redone, so things that are being published for sale need to have a lot of tweaking done on them.
As well, we should be thankful that Sony still believes that Ghostbusters can still make some form of revinue for the company. Yes I realize that the main project we want Sony to oversee right now is RGB DVDs but this may lead to it. So honestly, who cares if they're not updating their website, or posting updates about this or that, all that anyone here should be caring about is that everything is going smoothly with the comic.
And don't be disappointed when the comic art doesn't look anything like the art we've seen on here, simply because it would take YEARS to get comic pages done at that quality. Maybe the cover art will be done with that level of quality.
I know that EVERY ghosthead is anxious to see what 88 MPH studios will produce for us this fall, I've been waiting for a break in the franchise for a while now, so we all need to quit fighting about this issue and move on and await the arrival of our gold, this will hold us over until next year when Sony releases Ghostbusters on a 20th edition DVD, so we all need to sit back and relax.
I don't see any of you working at 88MPH Studios, working on their projects or website, the only people that can sit and complain are the people at 88MPH Studios who are probably getting swamped by those of you on here with their e-mail addresses, they're probably pulling their hair out trying to keep on schedule for this comic, other then the movies they have nothing to go by, they need to create ghosts, storylines, and stuff like that so it's not a cakewalk, it's not like…lets see a Real Ghostbusters Game, where they can base level/missions on stuff that actually went on in the program.
I don't mean to seem like an old bastard on this subject, I know I'm just as anxious as any of you, since I saw Ghostbusters for the first time when I was about 5yrs old, on a top loading VCR (yeah yeah 80s yester-tech was funny looking and sounds really gay right about now
) I've been hooked on it, I was able to get into the Real Ghostbusters really fast and was able to watch a good chunk of the eps before they took it off the air, if I had the money I'd be even more of a Ghostbusters junkie, but that's the thing money is a limiter, and since I don't have the money to do a top notch job like a company does, I won't complain when a company is doing all the hard work for us, even if the comic is a total screw up, it'll still be wicked that someone was interested enough to do all this hard work for us.
I don't want to read ANY posts complaining about the comic when it comes out, or else you'll get another one of these rants, I mean there's certain things I can complain about…such as when they ruin a good movie by bringing out a crappy sequal (i.e. Matrix: Reloaded…). So quit your complaining and whining and drool over the nice wallpapers that people have put up for us, just keep on checking back on the 88MPH Studios website for updates, and if you find yourself getting frustrated pull out something like a hockey game or a GTA game and take out someone, just don't come and complain on here…or you'll get slaughtered by everyone, such as myself, who are sick of people complaining about something they're more or less getting for free (save for the cost of the comics
)
That's all for me…
