I think a sixth Rocky film is needed. I don't think that the fifth movie brought the series to a fitting close and I want to see the character again. The series isn't just about boxing, it's about a mans life and his relationships with his family. I reckon that this movie could actually be a surprise hit.

Sup, Im just wondering that if the movie never gets made then how will ghostbusters be kept alive in society.

Well if a third movie isn't made then I think our best bet would be a console or PC game of some sort. Hopefully 88mph will carry on with the comics and we'll see more merchandise released in the future such as the long awaited cartoon series on DVD. I'd also like to see a digitally remasterd version of the original (similar to ET a few years ago) released in theatres.

I guess this is our last shot at some recognition of how popular Ghostbusters still is. Extreme Ghostbusters was a ‘feeler’ if there was interest in a GB3 as it would be based on it.
But you never know, hopefully someone will want to ‘update’ The Real Ghostbusters for today.

But a new kickass 3D game would rock too.

new team concept aside, EGB and HELLBENT were really quite different. the young group in EGB were brought in by egon, trained, and basically replaced the original RGBs. the same firehouse was used, as was the car, etc. HELLBENT took a more realistic approach to the “new team” concept. instead of direct replacements to the origianls, the film would have focued on a small team inside the much larger corporation of GHOSTBUSTERS. there would have been hundreds of ghostbusters in the film, but the focus would have been on a group of four young “GBs”…

GB3 would have loosely shared the same concept… a new, younger group of ghostbusters… but contrary to old rumors, it wouldn't have been based on the failed series.

S'only a matter of time.

Absolutely.

Regardless, before then (and certainly after), the GB franchise is irrevocably ingrained into the fabric of pop culture. I wouldn't worry about it disppearing anytime soon.

This francise is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too big for movie producers to ignore forever. For that simple reason, there will be another movie sometime. The only question is not if but when?

I guess when all hope will be lost. It's always like that. So… maybe seven years in the futur? :p
