I watched Ghostbusters 2 last night with my girlfriend, and I have to say, I still think it's a good film. It continues nicely from the first one, and it's still funny.

The thought of a 3rd film scares me if it just “Hi we're the old Ghostbusters, here's the new guys, so we'll just mentor them from here.”

That would suck.

Ghostbusters II was going to be just a standard release on Blu-Ray with no extras with Ghostbusters 25th anniversary release, but they decided to delay the release to finally make Ghostbusters II a special edition release. I also think they probably want to see what the demand is for Ghostbusters Blu-Ray + Video Game is to justify the expense to make a special edition. They will need to add commentry tracks, deleted scenes, behind the scenes videos, Interview with people now about there experiences, etc.
