Which actors/actresses would you like to see in GB3?

Let me be more clear on my reasoning against famous actors: I'm not saying that they're not funny or anything, but they'd be too big for an already big movie. If you fill it full of stars, it'd be nothing more than “It's A Mad, Mad, Mad World” all over again. You'd miss out on the plot with all these big stars vining for screen time and funny jokes rather than having a good plot. To approach the casting of Ghostbusters 3, you'd have to think of less than one big name actors (to gain a new audience) and other actors that are just as good as the big timers, but just don't have the namesake that the ones that get plopped into blockbuster smegma do. Do we really need another Jennifer Lopez movie? If you think of actors and actresses that aren't big and famous, that makes it more of a challenge to fit the cast, not just the usual JACK BLACK! WILL FERELL! STEVE CARELL! THAT PIE F**KING GUY!

Call me nuts, but I would like to see Bill Pullman (Lonestar in Spaceballs) put on the uniform.

Were he not getting on in years (And contractually obliged never to repeat any cringe worthy speeches ALA Independence Day) then I suppose I could see him doing it.

I still go with the more popular choices of Johnny Depp

If he was in the movie, that would be the only reason 15 year old girls who wear “I <3 Captain blah blah blah” shirts from Hot Topic would go. They wouldn't go because of the comedy, they'd only go to see him and him alone. He would overshadow the cast and the movie would be a trainwreck. Plus he probably wouldn't be in it if he wasn't the lead character. Plus paying his salary would probably cut into the special effects department budget and all the jumpsuits and proton packs would be these:

The same goes for Will Smith in every way, except it'd be the 15 year old girls who grew up to be 30 year old girls who loved him on “Fresh Prince Of Bell Aire”.

Ok, I can agree that there would be people going just for Johnny Depp and Will Smith. However, its ridiculous to suggest that they would cut into the special effects that much, if at all. I mean what are you 15, to think that? Or was it a bad attempt at a joke? If Ghostbusters 3 were made, it would be a huge budget movie, a la Pirates of the Carribean or MIB. Those movies still have these guys in them and have amazing special effects. Suggesting that Johnny Depp being a lead character is a negative thing is ridiculous. His movies are great and he's an incredibly versatile actor. He has played every type of character, and played them all very well. You can't knock him because of stupid 15 year old girls who only like him because of his looks. He's a damn good actor, with a lot of talent.

I think I would add some british flavour, like a kind of a Sherlock Ghostbuster and for me Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) has this typical British look, he's so cool and I can already imagine him running into the other GBs by accident and voila - a new adventure is about to start… :-)
