I dont know. Not that Jon Stewart “old”, I think he's too old to be part of the younger ghostbusters. Though hes a funny guy and I respect his work, I think they want some younger people so they can keep making ghostbusters movies if the third (if it ever is made) is successful.

Sorry kid. You're wrong. If you read the script review to Dan's ghostbusters 3, all the new busters were pretty young and in their 20's while Jon Stewart is at least 40. Though, if he dyed his hair he MIGHT pass off as early 30 but still. Popularity wise, he would be a good choice, but sense wise, he wouldnt be. Im a big Jon Stewart fan, but he wouldnt work.

Dont call me kid, never call me kid, its downgrading. And he may be 40 but acts like hes 20 something and he can pull it off like nobody else.

Okay, I apologize for the “kid” remark but lets be serious here, in dan's original script the new ghostbusters were young, very young. 50 year olds can act like theyre rappers but theyre not, so it doesnt matter if he acts like hes 20. It would take the reality out of it.

Given, that Dan's scripts change dramatically before actually on screen and if the new ghostbusters are in their thirtys if it gets a rewrite, then we can have this conversation. He would be an awesome ghostbuster, but unrealistic in the setting.

How about this:

Rowan Atkinson (Johnny English) as Egon

Joe Cocker as Ray

Bill Cosby as Winston

David Schwimmer (Friends) as Peter

In all seriousness: how about Harland Williams?
