if there ever was a GB3 which i really seriously doubt because everyone knows it would never live up to the first, but beside that who do you think should be in it. what should there next problem be?

Since it is rather unlikely, I was thinking about it being based on RGB, it would be easier to get new actors for a live-action version… I know they could never be compared to the original 4, but they are doing this with scooby-doo right?

Actors, not sure… maybe Bruce Campbell as Peter?

It wouldent have to all be about onebig problem, I mean GB1 and GB2 had almost the same plot, ghosts building up to more and more to a finalle…

This could be based on a few select Eps of RGB, have one big problem at the end, like Meekrah or something similar… I could see them making slimer too cute, but hey… have to sacrifice something when going cartoon to live.

It would be nice to see a new GB in the tradition of GB1,2 but it would also be somewhat depressing seeing at something like 16 years has passed since GB2 and they've all aged… If you've seen Rushmore you'll know what I mean.

Just an idea..meh?

I dont think there should be a third, its been too long. It will just be too much different from the first two movies. Plus Dan would probably write it and there is the danger that he will use the same formula that he used for ‘Blues Brothers 2000’, ie use the same basic plot as the original, only make it more ridiculous, and rather then making original jokes take jokes from the original further. BB2000 wasnt a sequel, it was just making fun of the original, I dont want to risk that happening to the GB.
However, if somehow a script was written that had the same quality as the origninal films, and the original cast all signed up, then I would be first in line to see it.
I think the idea of using other actors to play the GB is terrible!

you are right when you say no one should play the original characters besides the original actors, when that happens, the movie goes to hell (like batman 3 and 4), but i do think there will be good to make a gb3 movie, aykroid is not gonna spoil it…hes too smart…oh, and both blues brotheres sucked…the only good thing of those movies was the music…

Did he just say both the Blues Brothers movies sucked?

BB2000 was pure shit. No doubt about that.

But theres no way in hell you can say Blues Brothers (1980) sucked… how the hell do you get that conclusion?

Its one of the best movies out there, It may not be on par with Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but its up there.

I agree, the Blues Brothers is one of the best movies ever! Thats why I was so disappointed with the sequel.

One of the things I'd be worried about with a third GB movie is that movie making has changed a lot since the originals. The original movies were so good because of the characters and the comedy aspect. I'd be worried that if a GB movie come out now, it would all be special effects and flash.

Definatley Bill, Dan , Harold, and Ernie Hudson. Annie Potts should come back as well. About the whole being too
old to fight the ghosts I disagree.
Just look at the Indiana Jones series
they finally got their 4 movie up and running and Harrison Ford is going to play Dr.Jones again and he is almost 60. Now for the supporting cast I would use EGB's voice actors coming over and playing their old parts in
GB3 for real. I know Tara Strong(Kylie)
said that she would be interested if the studios asked her. I once read a fan fiction GB3 script that had both teams working side by side so why not?
Also I don't think replaceing the original actors with new people is a bad idea, just look at what it did to the Batman fanchise.
