Serious or non serious suggestion, Wes?

Why in the world would you cast a younger cast to replace the old ones in a third film? Why….that's a horrible idea….a really bad idea. In a third film you'd be casting a younger team to help the OGB's not replace them in the sense that they'd be playing the original team.

what do you think were my bad cast choices?

yea every cast member i've come up with has been someone who plays a student role to the teacher ghostbusters of the original movies. anyone think of a good actor to play oscar? he'd be of college age about now, or at least when the movie would come out.

i think ryan reynolds could play someone who grew up with bill murray as a father. maybe its just me.

You could make Ryan Reynolds the new main charecter and have him be Oscar. Also if Bill isn't part of it, I would have Wevaer come back and just mention Vankman throught the film just to keep him in the fans head. I believe everyone said they would come back except Bill. I would keep the same cast other then replacing Bill. If it aint broke don't fix it.

I feel that if a ghostbuster movie were to be done, the first thing to do is a restart of the franchise. Too much time has passed to use the original actors, and it is to much of a gamble to introduce new characters into frachise that will always be remembered by the characters, and there names(venkman, spengler, stantz). Names like rodriguez just don't work for me. As for who would play the original roles I have given the most thought for the venkman character since his role is the most popular, and probably would have the most attention from fans and critics of anyone else in the movie. the best way to picture who would be best for venkman is to think of the part in the movies where you have the ghostbusters running down the streets together in uniform. Ben stiller I'm not a big fan of personally. I like his movies, but I think there are other actors that people could relate more to Bill Murray's previous perfomance. I always thought of Matthew Perry being Venkman he's got the right age, the right tone, and the right look to be Peter Venkman, but reading some of the previous posts, I am completely sold on the idea of Ryan Reynolds being Peter Venkman, he's got all of the qualities of the character, and he's younger which would help with getting attention from younger teen audiences as well.

we don't need brainless teens running into the theater… but sadly it's something they consider to “target” all different types of audiences…

Pay Ryan his due, he was pretty good in The Amityville Horror and Blade Trinity (The one that sold it for me that he could play Venkman).

I believe he's also in his 30s.
