oddly enough, the ideas of arsenio hall, joey fatone, and cameos of jay and silent bob don't rub me the wrong way as much i thought they would. i'll add them to my list.
i also like (i have another post regarding this):
jay mohr
michelle rodriguez
ethan embry
karen allen (heroine of “raiders of the lost ark”)
jimmy fallon
elise neal (“scream 2”)
enrico colantoni (“just shoot me”)
sean patrick thomas
michael ian black (“the state” and “ed”)
liev schreiber
natina reed (sassy chick from “bring it on”)
james marsden
malcolm jamal warner (theo huxtable)
just some thoughts. i'd like to see something like the original ghostbusters having become a steady thang, and they'd be in the story, but it would center on a newcomer/s (i like the idea of fallon, patrick thomas, rodriguez, mohr, neal, or black, personally) joining and jumping into the team, but you know, some huge apocalyptic thing happens. i see colantoni, allen, or schreiber playing new characters, yet they'd have joined and become experienced with the ghostbusters between 2 and 3, so they're also coaching the newcomer(s). it'd be easy enough (albeit sad) to write out murray and weaver.
villain? in case you couldn't gues…
BOOGEYMAN! i've raved about him being badass enough, you should get the deal by now. either him or some new baddie.
that's my word.

p.s. - stifler would be the worst choice ever. sorry if i offend, but he plays the same guy in every movie. if you want that shithead character of stifler tarnishing the ghostbusters, then be my guest. proof that he plays the same character in every movie - watch him in interviews or reruns of him hosting snl…he IS stifler.
p.p.s. - britney?!?! wow, i won't even get started….
