My Mum just emailed me a link to a news report saying the Seth Rogen and Steve Carell are to join Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis and Hudson in a new GB flick as new busters.

Please god let this be a lie, I would rather not see Ghostbusters ever again, that with those two bozos. I hate Seth Rogan, and I loathe Steve Carell. Ghostbusters will become some stupid stoner movie if Rogan is in it,

I'd say not to expect a Ghostbusters movie with Carell and Rogen to be a ‘stoner comedy’ just because that's been Rogen's stuff so far… they could go on to really surprise you… for instance, who thought Schwarzenegger would be able to do comedy, let alone good comedy?
You never know what an actor is capable of when they do stuff they're not typecast for.
That said, I know nothing will come of this. Unfortunately, with the great and mighty WENN reporting it on IMDb, it's likely it's gonna give a lot of idiots probable cause to start saying it's gonna happen.
Good thing I quit IMDb on the whole a few years back. That forum's gonna be an impossible place to hold anything resembling rational or intelligent conversation.

That's true, I seem to remember Ernie Hudson having to convince Ivan Reitman to let him play Winston because he wasn't a comedian like the others.
That being said I still don't want a new team. But let's not get into my grumblings.
