Yeah, I just want one of each of the four guys. Nice easy sale, and I don't want it to be so “limited quantity” that it becomes some eBay treasure hunt they day after they release.

Nor do I want to be out of the loop because they just keep it so discreet that I look up, and they were released 2-3 days ago, nullifying my chances to buy the things.

I expect “collectors” (read: scalpers) are going to make this unpleasant.

i havent collected any toy line, so i can save up for these…20 bucks a pop for the six inchers, and 60 for the 12"….phewww i would rather picked them up at a comic stoe or somthing. but beggers cant be choosers, ill be buying all the movie figs, most of the RGB figs, and ill have to wait and see the video game figures.

mattel answerd it in a Q/A session with AFI, and im also pretty sure they anounced it somewhere else as well

*I talked to our contact at Mattel, and here's what he had to say about the “availability” issue:

hey Lanny,

Thanks for your concern on the quantity matter. Quantity is a very tricky thing to guess. We want to make enough so everybody that wants them can get them. However, if we don't sell out, it makes us look bad to our bosses and we have to deal with the cost of doing something with all the left-overs. I think our experience on the He-Man line has helped us gauge how well these collector figures sell. I will discuss this with my team and see if we can take a closer look at the quantity and possibly make some adjustments. The tricky one is the first figure release. Once we get the numbers from that, it is easier to guess the demand for the following figures.

The good thing is that we know there is demand for these figures!

There's few properties I'd be willing to spend this kind of money on, but Ghostbusters is one of them.

Master Replicas dropping their Ghostbusters line certainly makes saving for these items a little bit easier.

Ok, so I'm confused. Are any of these figures going to be sold in stores? I was under the impression that only the 12" would be online and the rest would be for sale in stores. Can someone clairify? Thanks.

As of now, everything is going to be sold online. If the demand is high enough, they will put the figures in stores (probably with different paint schemes or something).
