Just got my traps today. Very cool! Unfortunately, my “prop mode”(with lights and no sounds) doesn't seem to be working. I'm debating whether to send it back for an exchange; after spending so much on it, I probably will get the exchange. I'm just hoping that the one I plan to keep sealed isn't broken too.

Edit: My mistake, everything works fine thankfully! I was expecting the red light to come on after turning it on, but apparently prop mode only does that after hitting the pedal a couple times.

If you're keeping it sealed, who cares though? I mean, yea, it would suck if it's broken, but if you're keeping it sealed that's the risk that you take.

Looking at the Matty boards it seems like Matty are badly hiding the fact they are about to drop the price by 60% next Monday.

I just got off the phone with Matty. They said I should get an email with in 24-72 hours about my refund. The first time I called the lady hung up on me after waiting for to get back to me for over twenty minutes, so I called back and asked for a supervisor. I was nice though and kept my cool and just told him that I would just re-order them and send the other ones back since it was a 36 dollar difference and he said they should be able to refund the money since I just bought them. So if you ordered anything call and be nice and ask for a refund.

Also if it drops to 60% that'll be awesome cause I wasn't going to buy the other 6" figures but for 8 dollars a piece that would make an awesome Christmas gift for my sons and to add to my collection.

Ok..I made a few blunders myself before I could work it and enjoy it. Please check the following:
1) batteries: ALL new, ALL alkaline. Double-check the battery compartment's springs to make sure they are tight. Doesn't sound like much, but gets results.
2) the cable must be in the sockets TIGHT. The silver part should fit each socket flush- with NO black showing. Even if it's micrometers off, she won't work.
3) My biggest mistake/learning curve: The pedal takes Pressure with the ball of the foot-and Make Sure you aim for the middle of the pedal. I tried it with my hand and hit near the top. That's not gonna work. Don't put your whole weight on it, just the ball.
4) even if you haven't tried the trap release feature, make sure the cartridge is fully inserted. I took mine all the way out, and firmly replaced it.( Even the Matty girl made this little mistake.)
5) I made sure I read that manual before I even tried prop mode, I was so scared of breaking it! Once I reloaded the batteries, movie mode almost works itself.
Hope this helps. And try everything anyone else suggests..I wouldn't risk trying for a replacement..these things are murder to get as it is.

I've gotten lucky with a trap that worked normally straight out of the box. Great “prop”. My only minor complaint is the sort of “rust”, or brown weathering that was applied to the metal plates. Looks a bit silly, but it's definitely not a deal breaker.

I had a chuckle that my trap was delivered yesterday, yet the horrible tracking service says it's in transit to my nearest major city…

ok i went and got some alkaline batteries and now it works i just dont know why it wont work with rechargeable batteries the pke metere has them and it works just fine
