Glad your finally arrived safe and sound.

I played with mine for about 10 minutes and then took the batteries out and put it on a shelf on display.

Maybe a stupid question, but how do you get the trap in “display” mode, not movie mode?

There's a rectangular switch/knob on the forward side (the “bow” in naval parlance).

It's covered in the instruction manual.

I was looking at getting a set of the 4 pack from Toys R 'Us and have seen two versions. 1 version with the Santa hats on and Slimer on the right and the other having no hats and Slimer in the middle.

A seller on Ebay is telling me that the Santa hats come in all the boxes but his picture is showing the one with out Santa hats and the Slimer in the middle.

Does anyone know if they all came with Santa hats or not?

A Christmas gift, mine came with them wearing the hats..but Slimer was in the middle. I use the 4 pack to help decorate Dec. 25th.

Why take the batteries out? I've left the batteries in tons of my electronic stuff for years without any ill effects.

Because depending on the type of battery, they could leak and corrode the metal contacts in the battery compartment.

There is nothing worse than having a piece of electronics that you love getting ruined by corrosion and battery leakage in the compartment. I usually take all mine out when I store away my electronics for long periods of time just in case…
