Why didn't the Stay Puft Marshmallow man talk?

that Gozer form looked stupid and clumsy to me

It was meant to look silly and clumsy.

I would have made it speak with a low rumbling “Die pathetic maggots” or something IF I was to make it speak.

That would've been both terribly cliche, and probably would've been awful had it been featured in the final film.

I am with the party that can't picture Stay Puft being talkative. It was fine in the cartoon mostly cause he wasn't seen as a big bad threat in most of it. Gozer did speak and there be no point to Stay Puft speaking too.

Just an IF, not what I would do but I would have make Stay Puft not be SO clumsy as Gozer is a god and should have overcome the form, but on the other hand it IS a comedy so I can see that side of it and they were VERY limited in the special effects budget.

How dare you disrespect Reitman and Aykroyd's vision by suggesting anything different than what they gave you.

And what does “not what I would do but I would have…” mean? LOL.

And yes, I'm being completely facetious to show you how ridiculous the other argument was.

And if we were to continue here, I respect the work even if I though Stay Puft was less than what should have been. But I know from the book in the DVD two pack and online they at one time wanted Stay Puft to rise from the bay and such, budget kept this out. EDIT: No I watched this on the DVD or Blu Ray, about what they wanted to do with Stay Puft. I will have to find that again…..
