Just curious because I have no idea what Ecto's 3-7 were. Why is the boat called Ecto-8?

I'm guessing it has something to do with the ecto vehicles from The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series for example like the ecto chopper, the ecto racer, etc

Are you having trouble on this level??

I have the PS2 version of Ghostbusters and I am stuck on the level were you go out on the Ecto-8 the Ghostbusters Boat to the underground rivers of slime wich I believe is at 50 or 51% so I'm half way through the game now

I know how to shoot slime on the big round things hangin on chains to lower the bridge's, I just cant get through the closed door close to the big black slime pump system that has the rotating disk with the funky glyphs on top of the pump system

Well within the meta-universe created by RGB merchandise, from my remembrance they got to at least Ecto 4…but the only ones I remember were the Ecto 2 honestly. I think the RGB Comic Books got some more as well…

::edit::

What I mean by a meta-universe is in rare occasions when a toyline is created from a cartoon series sometimes a universe within a universe is created. This happens when the toy manufacturer puts character bio's on the toys that are anywhere from slightly different to completely different or producing toys of items that do not appear in the series that the toys are made of…there-for creating their own continuity within another

SPOILER** You have to use the purple beam (can't remember what it's called) to freeze the disk when it lines up with the matching symbol on the top. Once both are lined up with the correct symbol, the door should open.

I believe “Ecto-3” was the motorized unicycle w/ sidecar (cartoon), while “Ecto-4” was a vertical take-off transport …thing (comics).

It was originally called the Titanic II but then it became haunted by the ghost of Jack Dawson. That was terrible for morale.

I imagine that, like James said, it has to do with the expanded universe stuff, the chopper and the go-kart and what not. It could also mean that there were other boats that sank. I'd consider that fairly likely, considering the nature of the business and how difficult it would be to wrestle with certain paranormal entities on the open water.

It IS Ecto-H, not Ecto-8. Y'all need to listen better.
