i hear all this stuff about bill not wantin to do a gb3 or if so just a little part. does anyone know the real reason (no bs) why he doesnt want to do it?

I dont know either, but I think that is the worst call he'd ever made….
Adding a possible point, some actors dont want the people to identify them with their characters, such is the case of Cristopher Reeves and Superman….
maybe thats a reason, a stupid one in his case, but a reason anyway

I think that Bill Murray feels that if GB3 was made that people would not think of him anymore when the GB franchise is mentioned. If a younger cast was in GB3 then he would not get a lot of attention. He has always felt Ghostbusters was his movie and he would not want to loose the recognition.

Well, any obvious plot for GB 3 is that there will be a new crew of Ghostbusters. One that kinda resembles Extreme Ghostbusters.
Nuthin says that Bill Murray cant be in Ghostbusters 3 still. Infact, all four original ghostbusters should be there to pass the torch on. As in, they spend a scene of the movie looking for new busters.
But Murray and the others can still be strong supporting characters. Nuthin says they cant be. There would just be 4 more characters on the scene!

I do not think that Murray would want to be a co star of a movie that he was the star of. He probably considers ghostbusters one of his greatest accomplishments and does not want to share the franchise symbol with someine else. I think Aykroyd and Ramsis were willing to sacrafice lines to give the new guys a chance because they do not seem greedy on sharing lines.

Or maybe they arent going to pay him enough, just a theory. Also, didnt they say somewhere that the studio couldn't pay the actors enough?? I dont know I just remember this from an interview with some news peeps.
