Nah, Slimer should never be their friend. I've always seen him as more of a minion of Gozer and pretty much evil - until RGB changed that.

He'd work better as an elusive villain who causes the GBs trouble from time to time. As he's had experience of being caught by the GBs, he could be wise to their techniques so is the ghost they want to catch but he always seems to elude them.

I agree with you RunDmc. I also don't see what's wrong with changing his name to Onionhead. It could be out of respect for the crew that made him in the first movie. I also think it fits the first film's version of him better. He should stay evil and mischevious

I agree with you guys. I mean wouldn't it be funny if the guys had just busted a really nasty killer ghost or a demigod only to be called to a case that involved slimer, the only ghost the ghostbusters can never seem to catch.

Slimer/Onionhead's appearances should be kept to a minimum.
When I mentioned the GB comic revival at my local comic shop, the first thing I was asked was “Is Slimer gonna be their stupid pet?” I got alot of positive reactions when I told some folks that Slimer will be in it, but not as a pet.
Since the comic is taking a more mature course, lets leave the kiddie sidekick/comedy relief characters to the Saturday Morning cartoons, shall we?

I totally Buck.I totally agree.I get the same kind of happy reactions when I told some of the people at my comic shop that he will not be a pet.So I totally agree wqith basically everything you said and for the record slimer needs to be evil | and an occaisonal pain in the ghostbusters asses or at least evil if not a pain

Well he can still be some of the comic relief but he just can't be a pet - and he can't lurk around the firehouse, talk or anything like that.

One good way to use him is that Slimer goes back to the Sedgewick Hotel and that's where he hides out. The manager of Sedgewick is probably angry at the Ghostbuster's expensive and destructive service and so has banned them from returning there. He finds Slimer, although a nuisance, is not as destructive and costly as hiring the guys to bust him again. Every time the guys see Slimer and try to get him, they can follow him to Sedgewick to find the manager stops them from entering every time.

One story could even have Venkman or someone break into Sedgewick in an attempt to bust him once and for all in a sort of Mission Impossible style story.

I 100% absolutely positively want to see the Boogeyman and Samhain in this new Comic. After all, the Boogeyman is what inspired Dr. Egon Spengler to become a Professional Paranormal Investigator & Eliminator. They were the coolest and most famous (And thought of by many to be the downright evilest and scariest.) Paranormal Entities of that the Ghostbusters have ever encountered. I remember a lot of people saying that the RGB Boogeyman scared them to death as little kids (Of course, that’s his job! ).

As for the Peoplebusters, as someone said earlier, I could actually see them in the new Comic, after some major revamping. They’d need a new look. They’d have to look very scary and evil, not kiddie and goofy. They'd all have to slightly resemble the New Ghostbusters, somewhat, like how the how the Peoplebusters slightly resembled the Real Ghostbusters. They’d need a different logo. Winston would need a Counterpart. They’d need a new name, like the “Livingbusters”, or like what he said, the “Living Eliminators”. It would be interesting to see the New Ghostbusters go to New York's Counterpart, Boo York, the Big Pumpkin, though. I’m not saying that I absolutely want to see them, though. I’d only want to see them if they were redesigned this way.

”Hey, Boo York. The Big Pumpkin. What a town.”

it would be cool to see some of the ghosts we saw in the first two movies get busted. you know the ones that were running around the city. like the one in the movie theater, or the huge one in the archway in the second one
