One thing you guys gotta remember man, If it weren't for Bill Emkow this board wouldn't exist. Bill Emkow started this party, Not Chad or anyone else.

Well, you and Spengs will never know until you ask him yourself. Of course he will never care if he never sees it. Do you honestly think he would be THAT callous?

Adam: It isn't that I'm not thinking positive (read my posts in other threads in general to see that) or that I'm being cynical. You probably don't know Bill (not that I do) or weren't on GBN (or was it GBC?) when Bill came on, posted the most horrible things about the community and pretty much never returned. It would be like if your hero turned his back on you.

When I said he probably wouldn't care either way I meant that he probably didn't want to be associated with the ‘newer’ ghostheads.

Personally I don't think we should say this is Bill E's GB message board. If we want to pay homage, we could put the link to his long retired site up on the main page.

Bo: See, this is why I didn't say anything sooner. I had the utmost respect for Bill Emkow. I have no evidence to prove this, but he or someone being his imposter had his name for a username and was on the old boards posting (to say the least) about how he didn't like what the community had become. He was talking about people's usernames and something about being disgusted. Of course the thread went to hell and it was deleted. I haven't seen or heard from Mr. Emkow since. I don't have a problem w/him. I'm just stating what I remember.

IMO, eventually if Bill or Chad hadn't had the boards, someone else would have. Especially as the software became more user friendly. That's my 2 cents. Please I don't want to start arguing about this subject.

No, he hasn't. The last time I saw him was suggesting things for the comic book on the now dead GBN board. Personally, I wouldn't agree with such a change. All it would do is inflate egos, people who have “been around since Bill's board.” In my mind, a Ghostbusters fan is a Ghostbusters fan, and if there is one single thing responsible for all the problems in this community, it's seniority. I think the current homage we have with a link to his home page does him enough justice, I'm sure he was a nice guy, but he's gone, times are different. I consider myself a pretty nice guy, I try to be friends with everyone, so I would say that I'm somewhat of a “link” between the split communities if anything. Do I want everyone saying “I knew Tom when he was around here”? Nope.
