Would you want a re-release of the orignal The Real Ghostbusters toy line?

Instead of what Matty is putting out would you buy a re-issue of The Real Ghostbuster toys?

I would at least buy Venkman and if they were sold at stores like Wal-Mart for the price of a regular action figure I'd buy them for my kids.

I'd kinda like to see a MOTU Classics -variety “reimagining”, i.e. an updated version of the original figs with better sculpts and articulation.

I believe matty said they would like to do that at some point, didn't they? Only right now they can't focus on it? They said the movie line has to perform great before they can think about RGB figures. I seem to remember that on one of the Q&A's.

That may've been in reference to the Retro action figures… it's pretty unlikely we'll see re-releases of the old Mattel series.

I think they could do another 4 piece box set with rgb styled heads and packs on the existing bodies. However the GB2 4 pack only seemed to sell well when it was in short supply, now even to this day there's stacks and stacks of them here for still full price.

Ooh, just you wait until I get a job. I may have to take you up on one of those.smile (I assume you're talking about the Christmas box-set.)

I would buy them, simply because I loved those figures growing up, but I would also like a MOTUC style reimagining. Better articulation, more detailed… I'd love that.

They were a Toys R Us (USA only) exclusive.

I haven't been to a Toys R Us in a while, so I'm not sure how many of them still have these left.

I've been to them at least twice since Christmas and haven't seen any of the four packs, I've seen the retro Ghostbusters but I didn't them like enough to buy them.
