Man, that would kick ass! If we found out he was here, he could tell us anything and everything about his Ghostbusting ideas, concepts, ect. One problem would be, it would drive him insane.
It's like Trekkies finding out that Roddenberry didn't die, but was hiding out, and was on a Star Trek board. First off, people would expose him, next they would ask him so many questions, that he'd wish he did die.

i always wished he would give us the script that he wrote for GB3. if it's not going to be made for the fans, he could at least let us read the script. maybe, if he wanted, could make it into a little series, writing a story or so every few weeks, or months. that would be so cool.

Actually can't speak for Dan but representatives from SPE, Columbia/Tri-Star, Bohbot, DIC, so on and so forth lurk from time to time. Some will post others just like to see response and reception to the various projects.
I know when EGB first came out many people lurked to see how the fan base reacted to the series.

Yeah. I agree that if Aykroyd did post on here that he'd use a name you'd never associate with him - such as a rapper or something. But then he wouldn't want to be too obvious - so the name should also be at least slightly GB related. Y'know, maybe like a rapper that did a song for a GB movie or something. We'll never know if he posts though, will we?
