This is most-definetly a long shot, but I personally think it would be really cool to see someone like Frank Miller, or even cooler, Alan Moore, to tackle all the scary stuff that goes on in the world of paranorm. :d

Alan Moore, yes definitely. But not Frank Miller…unless Dark Knight Strikes Again was a joke.

I haven't read Strikes Again. I suppose that I'll have to read it soon.

Besides, it was one little mistake! So it may have sucked. All of his other stuff is amazing! The good certainly outweighs the bad.

I mean….

The new RoboCop series…
The Dark Knight Returns
The original drafts for RoboCop 2 and 3
…and RoboCop vs. Terminator

There would only be a slight chance that he could do wrong. He is careful with what he writes. You just didn't like Strikes Again, I think it was generally well-accepted…

No! Don't read Strikes Again! It's a sin! I'm thinking that since DC badgered Miller so badly to do it that he deliberately did a crappy job. That's what I meant when I said I hoped it was a joke.

Well, actually, not ALL of Miller's other stuff is good– I got duped into buying the Batman Spawn crossover, his omniscient narraration is WONDERFUL but his methods of dialogue are a just a skoch drab…Example: Batman refers to Spawn as a “Punk” 11 times! …Hey, do you think Garth Ennis might do it? Man, just thinking of what he would do with the world of Ghosts makes me shiver. :O

Frank Miller? To those who think he's a good idea, why? I mean really. I've read Dark Knight Returns, Year One, flipped through some Sin City… Nothing has stood out and made me think that he could write a funny peter venkman line. If theres a book out there that shows his talent for humor and not some kind of biting political commentary on the world at the time, please tell me. I mean I'm not trying down your ideas or anything, I just want to see why you guys think he'd be good for Ghostbusters.

Oh, and yea avoid Strikes again like the plauge… I had a diehard DC friend try to get me into it and I was just like “what the heck are you talking about, it's crap.”.

Now Garth Ennis? No. No no no no no no no.
Yuck, patooi, and bleragh. That'd be like putting Mark Millar on the book, just wrong.

I actually wouldn't mind Mark Millar. His comics are action-packed and full of humor, which is great for GB. Not to mention that practically anything he writes is on Diamond's Top 10.

The problem with writers like Mark Millar and Garth Ennis is that they tend to center their stories around shock value. Now while I'm all for a more adult themed GB, I don't want an issue with Egon beating Jeanine and Peter contracting herpes from a one night stand… both of which I wouldn't be surprised would pop up in the books if Millar or Ennis had a stint on it.

Hmmm… I never thought of mind, I was just thinking of his take on the ghosts- I mean like in RGB, besides Sam Hain and a few others, most ghosts were generic– I think his writing would provoke more interesting and personal storylines with the ghosts. Plus, his characters are INSANE, has anyone ever seen F***-Face?

Who would I like to see.Hmmmm.Me!*Laughs*I am an english major and already have stories floating around in my head.Would love to write for GB in a darker tone.I am salivating. It would be such a treat to write for such rich characters.Winstons army background,(which wasn't explored in the film),his childhood-life before Ghostbusters.(What did he face?Death, destruction, racism). How has this affected him?Janine and Egons sexual tension.(How far could and were it would go,what could come between them, etc.)Why Ray is so focused on the paranormal.(Something horrifying involving his family and the paranormal happen to him as a child? Will he ever find love or have it taken away?)What darker and perverted tactics will Peck go to to destroy the Ghostbusters? What kind of new bad-ass villians could come along while not being over-the-top.How dark and perveted will the ghosts get?I would truely love to write to reach VERY deep into these characters.Their hearts, minds, souls, etc.Creating some truely gut wrenching, tear jerking events while still having to deal with the paranormal and with humor. This should go much deeper than a group of guys running around busting ghosts.Imagine where we could go over the course of the series!!!!!!!!!!!!
