WTB a Movie Replica Proton Pack

I have thought long and hard about building one for this years Otakon. However, even if I build the pack perfect, I know nothing about electronics to get it to light up, make noise, etc…

So I figure it would just be easier to just let someone else build it and I will buy one.

I know that gets expensive though. So I really don't know what to do.

Does anyone hear build and sell replicas?

e-bay. Usually a few weeks before Halloween. Expect to spend high dollar, pending quality.

Honestly, I'd just build it yourself. It isn't hard. Granted, I built my (mostly finished) RGB pack from sheet metal for halloween use, but having a trades back ground made it simple, so my opinion may be biased. A few hundred bucks, or maybe 70 buck-ish and the cost of a pack frame, versus up to 2G or more. It's your choice.

My packs are printed from the computer…and made by Kenner lol.

Anyway, eBay and GB props. A lot of information on GB props how to build you own.

I actually used a lot of those plans as templates to create my paper pack. Although mines more of quick fix if you need a pack. It's only about half the size of a real one though. But it's a great size for the kids lol.

Worse comes to worse, buy an inflatable one from the rubies costume :p

there are LED running light kits that you can get cheap off the internet with adjustable speeds and flashing styles. that's what i use. pretty straightforward…just solder and voila.

one thing though, they all come with red lights so you may have to buy the more appropriate colored leds…check this link for an example
http://www.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/MK107. you just use four of the eight for the cyclotron or all of them for the blue lights, i forgot what those were called.
