Xbox to get HD resident evil 4!

Dont know if this is on playstation aswell, but its pretty cool, sure as hell make up for Resi 5.

Its cool that ps3 gets all those fancy HD re-releases of game, it would be nice to see us get one for a change, i know Halo on is being re-released but im not that big of a halo fan, i know other people would enjoy it but id like to see more. Maybe a silent hill hd, but i dont think thats ever going to happen…

Sweet. Loved that game.

It is also worth mentioning that the rumor is circulating again about PS3 and XBox 360 are getting a squad based RE game in the vein of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs. The rumor however has a name this time of “Operation Raccoon City” and a release timeframe of this Winter.

Supposedly it's supposed to be the same old “We're back in Raccoon City” RE Game BUT with the twist of it being from the point-of-view of a Umbrella Corps USS Team

That sounds good, i never played the outbreak games, they sounded like a good idea, but i heard that the uk versions removed the online so there was no point in playing them.

but now the games are more action based the SOCOM thing could really work

You didn't miss anything with the Outbreak series…unless you played the Japanese version that supported full audio chat. Everywhere else that supported online play only allowed you to use the in game canned chat.

But if done right, a team based Resident Evil game that's more action oriented would be the shit. Specially if they took the aspect of Outbreak that most people liked (each character having unique abilities) then I am going to be all over that.

Apparently it is no longer a rumor and a confirmed game and release of “this winter” at this point. Seems it's going to be shown off @ E3 this year. Also confirmed is 4 player co-op and gameplay more in the range of a 3rd person shooter.

Well, despite not liking the characters looks either, I understand their reasoning behind them. Essentially trying to give each character a readable personality and silhouette so you can tell them apart from a distance and just by looking at them you can tell what class they are. For example Beltway. Beltway is the largest of the playable characters and covered with grenade launcher shells; you see him and immediately assume “he must specialize in heavy weapons”.

As far as the names…they have no excuse. They are lazily thought up and lame.
