6 months ago i called my local hobby shop asking for any information on the purchase of the original model kit made by amt, the ECTO-1A. My fiance got the call while I was out - he found it! about 400 Km away. its been sitting in the back of a old hobby shop since 1989, still in package and everything. one problem arises though. Do I hire somebody to paint and assemble it or do I do it myself and risk screwing it up?

cool…i see those on ebay quite a bit. when are the ecto 1 models going to be released? i think they are the same scale as the 1a, but not as detailed. i guess you could make a detailed more detailed ecto 1 by using the 1a as a base. by the way back, where on your site is the info about the orig. ecto 1? i'm having trouble finding it.

you're right back, the models on ebay can get kinda pricey.
