Sony is to blame for these atrocities? No. It's just another example of mankind's territoriality and sense of propriety becoming of greater interest than human life itself. Did Sony ask them to use kids and POWs to mine for ore? No. Was it their responsibility to oversee how these resources were obtained? Hmm . . . I doubt it. Of course, there is always the question of supply and demand . . . but at what cost? Is Sony really no better than the oil dynasty? That's what this particular journalist want you to think.
This article is trying to direct blame on the consumers and Sony. Now, I'm all for slandering corporate entities, but this wasn't their fault. Somehow I doubt they have mining unions in the Congo. I don't know, and I don't care enough to look that deeply into this. This is just my two cents.
